Republic gold "Veld" Pond 1902 AU Details (Scratches) NGC, Pilgram's Rest mint, KM11, Fr-4, Hern-Z54, with slash on obv. An ever popular type struck during the Boer War, this type features a charming yet simplistic design, as well as an extremely low mintage of 986 pieces. The light scratches which result in the details grade are not at all distracting to the eyes, and allow the bidder a chance to acquire a higher grade example of an issue which is almost never found in such a state and, as such, would be extremely difficult.
Estimate: 6000-8000 USD
