CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS, Nymphaion. Circa 400 BC. AR Hemiobol (6mm, 0.40 g, 6h). Head of nymph left, hair in sakkos / Grape bunch on vine; NY above; all within incuse square. Frolova, frühe, Type I, 6–8; Anokhin 950; MacDonald 87; HGC 7, 14. Fine, toned, porous and granular, a couple tiny deposits. Very rare, only 16 examples cited by Frolova, 12 of which are in public collections; only three in CoinArchives.
