KINGS of PERSIS. Vahšīr (Oxathres). 1st century BC – 1st century AD. AR Drachm (17mm, 3.91 g, 4h). Type II. Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Bearded bust left, wearing diadem and torque; trace of monogram to right / Vahšīr standing right, holding scepter and sacrificing before altar to right. K&M –; Alram 582 var. (no symbol); cf. Tyler-Smith 128 (hemidrachm). Good VF, toned, some porosity.
