KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. AR Drachm (17.5mm, 4.18 g, 6h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Sardes mint. Struck circa 318-315 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, legs crossed; KΩ monogram in left field, HAΘ monogram below throne. Price 2682 corr. (monogram below throne); ADM I Series XX, 399. Good VF, toned, traces of find patina, obverse die shift and slightly off center.

The last series of issues from Sardes is full of errors in Price. Many of the monograms are incorrect. Regarding this specific issue, the illustration in the plates, also visible on the BM website, shows that that coin is actually an example of Price 2685.
