GREEK COINS
LYCAONIA

Laranda. Circa 324/3 BC (?). Obol (Silver, 12mm, 0.58 g 5). Head of bearded Herakles facing with olive branch to left. Rev. ΛΑ-ΡΑΝ Forepart of wolf to right; to right, star; to left, monogram of ΠΑΡ. Göktürk 65 and pl. XXIII, 5. An unusually nice example. Extremely fine.

The date proposed for this coin here is that of Göktürk; however, the thinness of the flan and the general fabric argues for a much later date.
