Ex World-Wide Coins of California XXVIII, 16 November 1995, 357 and F. Muller, 1 December 1913, 12 (with original ticket).
This commemorates the famous ruse of Prince Maurice's, in which a picked band of troops were smuggled into Breda by hiding them within a barge filled with peat. The barge was allowed through the water gate and the troops later got out, over-powered the Spanish guards and opened the main gates to the Dutch army.
