Anno 1667 / Door Order van haer E. Hoogh / Mog onder 'theleyt van d. Heer R. Mich. / A.d. Ruyter LAd.generael syn besprongen / op de Rivier van Chattam d'Coninckx Oorloogh / Schepen en die verbrant en gesoncken (=By order of their High Mightinesses, and under the command of Sir Michael, son of Adrian de Ruyter, Lieutenant-Admiral-General, the ships of war of the King were attacked, burnt, and sunk in the river of Chatham) Scene of the burning of the British fleet at Chatham. Rev. Den. 6 Septemb.A¡1667. / is de Vreede tusschen haar E. /Hooghm en den Coningh van / Groot-Britanien gepublifeert (=On the 6th September 1667 the Peace between their High Mightinesses and the King of Great Britain was published) Pax, holding olive branch and cornucopiae, seated facing with, on her right, shields bearing the arms of Great Britain, France, Denmark, etc., and on her left, shields bearing the arms of the United Provinces; below, scroll supported by infant genii, one holding a torch and the other an arrow. The design has been strengthened by considerable after-cast engraving on both sides, otherwise, extremely fine.
