BRITISH COINS, Charles I, Silver Halfcrown, York mint, type 6, the King on horseback left with upright sword aloft to outer rim, body with flowing sash, horse tail behind body, EBOR below horse, inner and outer beaded circle, legend surrounding, initial mark lion both sides, lozenge stops, rev struck en médaille, crowned oval garnished quartered shield of arms, crowned C to left, crowned R to right, lozenge stops in legend, beaded circle surrounding, floral ornament stops, 15.02g (Bull 569; Brooker 1083; N 2314; S 2868). Small flan flaw under horse's rear, raised die flaw on the reverse, about extremely fine, lightly toned and very pleasing.
