BRITISH COINS, Charles I, Silver Halfcrown, 1646, Bridgenorth on Severn mint, the King on horseback left, plumelet below, no groundline, initial mark plumelet, inner and outer beaded circle and legend surrounding both sides, rev inverted die axis, Declaration in two lines, scroll pattern above, plumelets above, central plume with bands, date and plumelet below, initial mark plume with bands, 13.24g (Bull 650/4; Brooker 1124; N 2517; S 3038). Toned with a patina from the River Thames mud, a little double struck, otherwise about very fine.
