BRITISH COINS, William & Mary (1689-1694), Tin Farthing, 1690, copper plug at centre, second conjoined laureate and draped busts right, GVLIELMVS ET MARIA, rev Britannia seated on globe with spear, shield and spray of leaves, date below in exergue, BRITANNIA, edge inscribed and dated in raised letters NVMMOMRVM*FAMVLVS.1690** (Peck 578 EXR; S 3451). With some original lustre around legends, one small spot on the reverse legend and rim bruise at top, otherwise extremely fine and extremely rare.
ex A H Baldwin & Sons Ltd, with old ticket in the hand of A H Baldwin himself stating "Feb / 30591 / 307" stock codes.
