THE ALFRED FRANKLIN COLLECTION OF ANCIENT COINS, GREEK SILVER COINS, Ionia, Herakleia ad Latmon (c.140-135 BC), Silver Tetradrachm, Stephanophoric type, head of Athena Parthenos facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet decorated with a Pegasos, the foreparts of five galloping horses on the visor, rev HPAKΛEΩTΩN, club right, Nike walking left below, holding a wreath, flanked by two monograms, all within an oak-wreath, 16.55g, 12h (SNG Lockett 2823; Jameson 1503). Extremely fine.
