ANCIENT GREEK COINS, Attica, Athens (c.460-450 BC), Silver Tetradrachm, transitional issue, head of Athens facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive-leaves and a palmette, rev AΘE, owl standing right, its head facing, an olive-sprig and a crescent behind, all within an incuse square, 17.02g, 5h (Starr 133; SNG Delepierre 1425). Excellent early Classical style, good very fine, scarce.
