A COLLECTION OF AKSUMITE COINS, THE PROPERTY OF A EUROPEAN COLLECTOR, AGD (mid 6th Century AD), Silver, crowned and draped bust facing, with gilding on crown without spikes, Ge'ez legend ngs 'ksm ('King of Aksum'), with Ge'ez monogram 'gd to left, rev Ge'ez legend zy'by lmdxn + ngs ('The King who exalts the Saviour'), arch supported by columns, containing cross inlaid with gold, 0.90g, 12h (AC 126; H 69). Nearly extremely fine, in a very good state of preservation.
