THE COLLECTION OF A CLASSICIST, BRITISH COINS, Celtic, Catuvellauni, Tasciovanus (late 1st Century BC / early 1st Century AD), Bronze Fractional Unit, head left with chain pattern around, annulet behind, rev horse left; Cunobeline (early 1st Century AD), Bronzes (2), two panels inscribed CAMVL / ODVNO, rev CVNO beneath sphinx left; and sphinx right, CVNO below, rev standing figure; Red Gold Stater, possibly Addedomaros but both sides flat with porosity (ABC 2697, 2924, 2987; M 183b, 230, 260; S 258, 332, 348, cf 200). All bronzes with some green patina, first very fine, second good fine, third fair to fine, reverse poor, the Stater very poor. (4)
