THE COLLECTION OF A CLASSICIST, BRITISH COINS, Henry VI (first reign, 1422-1461), Silver Groat, rosette-mascle issue (1430-1431), Calais, facing crowned bust within tressure, fleurs on six cusps, initial mark cross patonce, rosette punctuation on obverse, mascle after REX, rev long cross fourchée, upon twin concentric legends, trefoil of pellets in each inner angle, rosette after CALI/SIE, mascle before LA, 3.65g (N 1446; S 1859). A little off-centre on the obverse, good very fine, dark tone.
