BRITISH COINS, Henry VI, first reign, Silver Groat, London mint, Leaf Pellet issue (1445-1454), crowned facing bust, within tressure of nine arcs, large fleur on seven cusps, leaf on neck, fleur on breast, pellet either side of crown, circles and legend surrounding, saltire stops both sides, initial mark cross fleury, ANGLI legend, rev long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, two quarters with extra pellet, twin concentric legends and beaded circles surrounding, pierced mullet after POSVI, no initial mark, 3.78g (N 1504; S 1915). Good very fine, toned.
