BRITISH COINS, Edward IV (first reign, 1461-1470), Silver Groat, heavy coinage (1461-1464), London mint, class III, crowned facing bust, quatrefoils each side of neck, trefoil on breast, within tressure of nine arcs, large fleur on four cusps, initial mark rose (1464-1465) both sides, rev long cross pattée, tri-pellets in each inner angle, twin concentric legends and beaded circles around, eye in legend, 3.80g (N 1532; S 1973). Well struck on a broad flan, good very fine.
