Diademed bust left; lis-tipped scepter before / + MΛTÐΛN ON LIN :, voided cross, with pellet-in-annulet at center. Mossop pl. LIII, 6 (dies A/b); SCBI 14 (Copenhagen), 1744-7; North 790; SCBC 1159. Near VF, find patina. Matethan is an Old Irish name and unusual on Anglo-Saxon coinage.
