KINGS of MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios. 323-317 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 14.55 g, 12h). In the types of Philip II. Pella mint. Struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323-318/7 BC. Head of Zeus left, wearing laurel wreath / ΦIΛIΠ-ΠOY, youth, holding palm in right hand, rein in left, on horseback right; Θ below horse's raised foreleg. Le Rider 436–9 var. (unlisted dies); SNG ANS 430. EF, lightly toned, a touch of porosity. Well struck. Very rare issue, and these dies previously unknown.
