LESBOS, Methymna. Circa 188-180 BC. AR Tetradrachm (36.5mm, 16.75 g, 1h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, Arion, holding kithara, on dolphin right above prow left; two monograms in exergue. Price 1695 var. (monograms); HGC 6, 910 (same rev. die as illustration). Good VF, toned, a few light marks. Very rare.
