LESBOS, Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. EL Hekte – Sixth Stater (10.5mm, 2.58 g, 12h). Forepart of winged boar left / Incuse head of lion left; rectangular punch behind. Bodenstedt Em. 6; HGC 6, 930. Near EF, faint die rust. Extremely rare, Bodenstedt lists only three examples, two of which are in museums (BM and Hunterian); only one in CoinArchives.
