Nero Claudius Drusus. Died 9 BC. AV Aureus (18.5mm, 7.62 g, 6h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. Struck under Claudius, AD 41-42. NERO • CLAVDIVS • DRVSVS • GERMANICVS • IMP, laureate head left / DE GERMA[NIS] on architrave of triumphal arch surmounted by equestrian statue left, raising hand and holding spear, between two trophies. RIC I 71 (Claudius; Rome mint); von Kaenel Type 14, 252 (V202/R– [unlisted rev. die]); Lyon 26/4a (D110/R– [unlisted rev. die]); Calicó 316; Biaggi 181; BMCRE 100 (Claudius – same obv. die); BN 4-5 (Claudius). Near VF, toned, areas of die rust on obverse, some minor scratches. Rare.
