Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Sestertius (34mm, 23.42 g, 7h). Rome mint. Struck AD 41-42. Laureate head right / Spes advancing left, holding up flower and raising hem of skirt. RIC I 99; von Kaenel Type 55. Good VF, dark gray-brown patina, some green, traces of earthen deposits, a few very minor cleaning marks.
