Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Sestertius (36mm, 27.53 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 42-43. Laureate head right / EX • S • C•/ P • P/ OB • CIVES/ SERVATOS in four lines within oak wreath. RIC I 112; von Kaenel Type 69. Good VF, dark gray, green, and brown patina, tan highlights on reverse, areas of minor roughness. Excellent portrait.
