Tangentially broken-off piece of a flat disk with smooth top and bottom, the top with two tax stamps, one of which shows a clear (C )ARO(LVS), with dark encrustation in the crevices of the broken edge, hairline crack at 90 degree to the break, impressive size for "oro corriente" (worth exactly three 8 escudos in its time).
