Potosi, Bolivia, cob 2 reales, 1644TR, very rare, ex-Karon. 9.94 grams. Bold date in crude periphery outside nearly full cross, decent full shield, low-contrast Fine with light toning, small hole to left of shield, inexplicably vastly overweight, only the second or third specimen we've seen. Pedigreed to the Paul Karon collection (Ponterio auction of March 1990), lot #524.
