EGYPT; AE Medallion for Official Visit to Czechoslovakia by King Fouad I 1929. Obv. Bust Of Fuad with Fez facing right with Arabic text to left & Right, Rev; Cleopatra with peace lily in hand holding hands with Czech lady both atop Marble pedastels and among branches of Olive trees, above are the two Royal Crests of Egypt & Czech, very nice Art Deco style bronze, 72mm diameter, Almost uncirculated, but has a spot under Kings chin and behind Kings head. French text to reverse reads "Visite Officielle de la Majeste Fouad I Roi d'Egypte a la Tchecoslovaquie, XXVI-XXVIII Juin MCMXXIX" by S.E.Verneir in 1924. Very RARE, and one of the lesser seen of the Royal Tour medallion series. (from; The Alexandria Collection)
