MILITARY MEDALS, Campaign Medals & Groups, CRIMEA MEDAL, 1854-1856, 4 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol (Pte Geo. Jackett. 3 Btn. G Gds), privately engraved in small capitals. Light pitting to both sides, otherwise good fine.
Pte Jackett was wounded by a musket ball at the battle of Inkermann, service papers confirm. His name also appears in the list of those men who were presented with their Crimea medals personally by Her Majesty Queen Victoria on 18 May 1855. Sold with copy service papers, medal rolls confirming clasps and further copied research.
