(This coin). aVF, overstruck on a Seleukid bronze of Antiochos IV. Very Rare.

From the Kenneth Miller Collection of Ake-Ptolemaïs and Related Biblical Coins, Ex Stephen Gerson collection, Ex Gemini VI, January 10, 2010, Lot 312.

This coin, as well as other overstrikes, was discussed in the Israel Numismatic Research #6, 2011, pages 127-132. Judaean overstrikes are extremely rare, Meshorer lists only two examples, both of Agrippa I, none overstruck on a Seleukid bronze. This coin circulated for nearly 200 years before it was restruck.
