Caduceus (light) series. AE Sextans (?), 211-208 BC. Central Italy. Obv. Head of Mercury right; [above, two pellets off flan?]. Rev. Prow right; above, caduceus; [before, two pellets off flan?]; below, ROMA. Cr. 60/6. AE. g. 3.59 mm. 17.00 RR. Very rare. light green patina. Good VF/About EF. For the existence of a heavy and a light caduceus series, see Cr. RPC I, p.13. The semuncia of this series is unknown to Crawford but it is cited by Mc Cabe.
