Malta. Silver striking of Gold 25 Pounds, 1977. As Fr-66; As KM-48. 8.6 grams struck in silver. Obverse, the first Gozo coin, date and £M 25 below. Reverse, stylised sun and sailing boat REPUBBLIKA TA MALTA. Somewhat thicker than the regular gold version but weighs 6.1 grams. Unrecorded in any metal other than gold, we believe only two of these experimental pieces exist. NGC graded Proof 67 Ultra Cameo. Estimated Value $250 - 300
