William Till was a well known London coin dealer who issued a number of tokens which were for sale to collectors. He died 8 April 1844, and the sale of his coins, medals and tokens occurred in the years 1845-1846, lasting for over twenty-three days, and realizing £2750 18s 6d. The sale of his books was held on 15 May 1846, and raised a further £119 18s.
