Hunan. Empire Tael (Liang) ND (1906) MS61 PCGS, L&M-386, Kann-942. Obv. Chinese characters reading, "Hu-nan Fo-nan Official Mint." Rev. Chinese characters reading, "Shen-ping Pure Pattern, One Tael." Struck by the Fo-Nan Official Bureau. Well struck, and lustrous, with sharp details, minor marks, and two small areas of dark verdigris on the obverse. Only two examples have been certified in Mint State by NGC and PCGS combined, with none certified finer. Very rare in this unusually nice condition.
