People's Republic 10-Piece gold & silver Proof "Inventions and Discoveries" 5 & 100 Yuan Sets 1992, 1) 5 & 100 Yuan - Ancient Shipbuilding, KM404 & KM4152) 5 & 100 Yuan - First Seismograph, KM405 & KM4163) 5 & 100 Yuan - First Kite, KM406 & KM4174) 5 & 100 Yuan - First Compass, KM407 & KM4185) 5 & 100 Yuan - Bronze Age Metal Working, KM408 & KM419Each coin remains sealed in the mint vinyl and included are the two original cases for both the gold and silver sets. The miniature replicas of the first compass are missing from both sets as are the COAs. The gold set is the much scarcer of the two, as 1000 pieces were produced of each type, but most sets have been broken up and many pieces have been melted.
