People's Republic gold Proof Panda 1000 Yuan (12 oz) 1987 Choice Cameo Proof, KM165. Mintage of 3,000 pieces (from the COA, Krause lists the mintage as 2445 pieces). A handsome example of this early Panda issue, with a couple of minuscule ticks noted on the surfaces. This lot includes the case of issue and COA #2482, which casts extreme doubt on the Krause mintage figure. AGW 12 oz.
