Republic gold High Relief "Flat Rim" 20 Dollars MCMVII (1907) MS66 NGC, Philadelphia mint, KM126. Produced in sculptural quality, the High Relief 20 Dollar is widely heralded as America's most beautiful coin, the sublime design by famed artist Augustus Saint-Gaudens leaping from the fields on both the obverse and reverse. For that reason, demand has only continued to grow over time, the coin's numerous parallels to art being too great for collectors and investors alike to ignore. Today, most that survive are seen in the MS62-MS63 grade, with Gem survivors being quite a bit scarcer. This coin, certified at the premium Gem grade, is even scarcer still, with demand far outstripping the supply. Upon close observation, the reasons for such great demand at this elite grade are clear; the surfaces remain almost pristine with satin luster in the fields and outstanding color on both sides that fully highlights the intended design. Without question, a great coin, and for the collector of elite world gold issues, a coin that absolutely must receive consideration.

Estimate: 50000-70000 USD
