China Kwangsi Bank $5 1909 (Year 2) Pick S2346. Only a few times in history does a banknote become a legend. This would be one of those times. Like the $1 design, two black dragons support an effigy of Kwangsi dollars, times five showing both the obverse and reverse. Legend states that one example that was found in 1994 was allegedly purchased by the Chinese Government. This example is in the hands of a private collector, and the stories behind these notes cement their importance and status among Chinese notes.
