Abbasid, Fals, Walila, undated, in the name of Rashid b. Qadim, 2.76g (Zeno 152389 var.; A -; W -). About very fine, very rare.
In the past Rashid b. Qadim has been identified as an Abbasid governor in the Maghreb before the establishment of Idrisid rule. However, it is possible that he is in fact the same Rashid who ruled as regent during the minority of Idris II, and that this coin was issued during his regency; this type could therefore be classified as Idrisid rather than Abbasid.
