*George III, penny, 1806, apparently a late Soho proof or specimen striking from slightly flawed currency dies, laureate and draped bust right, perfect date letters, incuse hair curl by tie knot, 9 brooch jewels, rev., Britannia seated left, edge grained (S. 3780; cf. B.M.C. 1342), with characteristics not specifically listed as a proof by Peck but sharply struck with prooflike fields, good extremely fine, lightly toned and with traces of lustre (100 - 150)
