SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 17.04 g, 12h). Struck circa 466-460 BC. Charioteer driving quadriga right; above, Nike flying left, crowning charioteer; in exergue, ketos right / Diademed head of Arethousa right; four dolphins around. Boehringer Series XIIIb, 445 (V234/R319); HGC 2, 1310. VF, toned, deposits around the devices, a few scratches on the obverses, scrape across the reverse.
