INDIA, Mauryan Empire. Circa late 4th-2nd century BC. AR Karshapana (17mm, 3.03 g). Series 6. Dog-holding-pup-in-mouth type. Struck circa 315-310 BC, or later. Squarish circular flan with various punchmarks, includig dog holding pup in mouth / Blank but for punchmark of hill symbol. Cf. ATEC 4119 and 4142 4145 (for punchmarks). VF, toned, traces of deposits.
