Corinth. AR Stater, ca. 550-500 BC. 8.75 gms. Archaic Pegasos flying left, large, narrow koppa below, Quadripartite incuse forming swastika pattern. Thin, broad flan. BCD Corinth 3. Rare. The style and peculiar fabric of most of the early Corinthian silver types distinguish them from issues of the other western Hellenistic city states. Small, thin edge split. Pleasing Archaic type example of good metal quality. Very Fine.
