EASTERN CELTS. 2nd-1st century BC. Drachm or Didrachm (?) (Silver, 22mm, 4.66 g 9), imitating Damastion. Celticized head of Herakles wearing lion-skin headdress to right. Rev. Tripod; above, crescent and below, zigzag line; to left, monogram; to right, knife. Castelin -. Cf. Dembski 1536-1537. Flesche -. Lanz 1011. Extremely rare and of particular style. A well struck and finely toned example. Holed and with a scratch on obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
