Cnut (1016-35), Penny, 0.93g, quatrefoil type, Stamford, Cawelin, bust left within quatrefoil, rev. +capelin mo sta, voided long cross over quatrefoil, pellet at centre, one quarter with a defacing mark (N.781; S.1157), the reverse struck from a rusty die, good very fine/very fine, rare with the defaced reverse die.
