ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟΝ ΚΑΙCΑΡΑ ΘЄCCΑΛΟΙ, laureate head right, with slight drapery / OX NIKO M AXOY, Minerva standing right, holding shield and preparing to hurl spear; monogram at beginning of legend. Burrer Em. 1, 30.1 corr. (A7/R26 – this coin; rectangular epsilons and chi with crossbar); cf. BCD Thessaly I 1409 (bust type, attributed as assarion); BCD Thessaly II 952.1-3; RPC III 452. Near VF, green-brown patina.
