SYRIA, Uncertain Caesarea. Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ (19mm, 5.47 g, 1h). Dated RY 3 (AD 43/4[?]). Laureate head right / Veiled and draped bust of Tyche right, wearing mural crown; Γ (date) to left. RPC 4084; SNG Von Aulock 6348 (Caesarea in Cappadocia); SNG Copenhagen 177 (Caesarea in Cappadocia); BMC 5 (Anazarbus). Good VF, dark brown, almost black, patina, with some light earthen deposits.

In the most recent supplement to RPC, it is noted that K. Butcher suggests that this mint may actually be in eastern Cilicia, rather than Syria.
