THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450/40-420 BC. AR Drachm (21mm, 4.59 g, 9h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head / ΛΑPI / ΣΑΙΑ, bridled horse rearing right within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian 50; BCD Thessaly I 1128; BCD Thessaly II 173 (same obv. die); HGC 4, 420. Near VF, toned, with some porosity. Struck on a broad, thin flan.
