THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 420-400 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 6.06 g, 8h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head / ΛΑPI-Σ-ΑΙ, bridled horse rearing right within incuse circle. Lorber, Thessalian 60 (same rev. die); BCD Thessaly I –; BCD Thessaly II 370.3 (same obv. die); cf. HGC 4, 420. Good VF, lightly toned.
