Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Sestertius (29mm, 23.21 g, 12h). Rome mint, 5th officina. 11th emission, AD 243. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Apollo seated left, holding branch and resting elbow on lyre. RIC IV 304a; Banti 76. VF, dark brown, almost black, surfaces with some areas of red on reverse.
