UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES. Circa 2nd-4th centuries AD. AV "Aureus" (22mm, 5.78 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in the region between the Danube and the Dnieper. D II SI\ЬИOI (retrograde P)II(retrograde B)ИCI IIT, laureate and cuirassed bust left; eleven pellets to left / TЭSII DIIST, Sol standing right, head left, holding globe and raising hand; on either side, serrated staff with globe at top and pair of globes at base; IIИII in exergue.
